About Course

Description:

With dynamic and specialist instructors from UJ's Department of Philosophy and the Centre for Data Ethics (part of the Institute for Intelligent Systems (IIS)), this short learning programme will help you navigate ethical considerations in artificial intelligence with a particular focus on the use of LLMs in research, education and industry.

Admission Requirements:

NQF level 4 or matric certificate or equivalent.

Course Curriculum

  • Foundations of Ethics: Understanding the differences between ethics, morals, and the law.
  • Critical Approaches to the Ethical Issues Posed by AI: Engaging with the ethical challenges posed by Large Language Models (LLMs) employing analysis and debate.
  • Practical Engagement: Practical examples will allow you to understand the ethical use of LLMs in research, education, and industry.
