About Course

Description:

The Short Learning Programme in Children's Rights in an African Context empowers professionals across public, private and non-profit sectors to advance their expertise without interrupting their careers. This programme is designed for practitioners in law, education, social work, psychology, healthcare, child protection, and related fields. It blends theroetical foundations with practical application.

Grounded in both theory and practice, the programme explores the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACRWC), the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and domestic frameworks. The programme provides a critical decolonised understanding of how global and African perspectives intersect to shape child rights advocacy and practice.
