The fully online Short Learning Programme (SLP) in Social Security Law offers an in-depth overview of South Africa's normative and institutional framework for social protection. Through a sound discussion of the constitutional foundations for the provision of social protection in the country, the programme offers a deeper understanding of the relevant contingencies within Social Security Law as well as the protection measures in place. The programme is designed for professionals and practitioners in the social protection space, policy makers, and individuals passionate about socio-economic rights advocacy, students will be able to navigate, influence, and advance socio-eonomic rights in both public and private sectors.

Applicants must hold a Diploma (NQF Level 6) or an equivalent qualification in law, labour, social justice, political science, or a related field.
