The purpose of this qualification is to provide qualifying learners with the ability to: Draft and interpret contracts and basic contractual disputes and to recognise and appraise the importance and functioning of a contract as a pre-emptive prevention and safeguard of legal disputes and rights; To further recognise the interrelated legal facets when drafting a contract and utilise same as a decisive and efficient tool in enforcing rights and obligations in the event of a dispute and resultant litigation. This qualification allows learners to demonstrate analytical and interpretative competencies in the application of the law that provide learners with a deeper understanding of the interpretation and drafting of contracts, as well as obtain high-level competence to master the legal dimensions thereof.Admission Requirements:
A Senior Certificate plus a bachelor’s degree or National Higher Diploma – Pre 2014; an NQF Level 6 qualification (360 credits) or an equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification (120 credits); Post 2014 – NQF Level 7 (360 credits).
