About the Programme

Description:

The purpose of the Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Simulation is to develop health profession educators skilled in integrating and applying clinical simulation theories and practices in teaching, learning, assessment, and research. The programme fosters problem-solving, critical and reflective thinking, and the ability to report on clinical simulation principles in ways that align with academic and disciplinary discourses, thereby preparing educators to effectively integrate simulation in their practices.

Admission Requirements:

• An appropriate Health Sciences-related Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma or equivalent (minimum NQF level 7). • Minimum two years’ experience in health professions education, including clinical or profession-specific experience. • Access to a simulation laboratory/clinic for conducting simulated activities. • Access to an electronic device with suitable word-processing applications and internet connectivity. • Recognition of Prior Learning may be considered in line with UJ and Council on Higher Education policies.
