About Course

Description:

The aim of this SLP is to provide a detailed training for the environmental health (EH) profession with ionising and non-ionising radiation exposures, health effects and risk assessment for exposure monitoring.

Admission Requirements:

The entry requirements for this SLP are any SAQA recognised Environmental Health qualifications from NQF Level 6, I.e., national higher certificate, national diploma, baccalaureus technologiae or bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health.
Suitable candidate may be employed either as an Environmental Health Practitioner (EHP), Health and Safety Officer/ Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Officer or Occupational Hygienist

  1. Radiation Sources,
  2. Ionizing Radiation exposures and health
    outcomes,
  3. Non-ionizing radiation exposures and health
    outcomes,
  4. Exposure monitoring for ionizing and non-ionizing
    radiation,
  5. Exposure responses in the receptor
