About Course

Description:

The purpose of the SLP Introduction to business Law is to acquire basic knowledge and reflective understanding of the prescribed substantive law. Students will be introduced to basic requirements for a valid contract and the consequences of contracts.

Admission Requirements:

A National Senior Certificate (NSC) with certificate endorsement is required for admission.

Course Curriculum

  • Understand the basic concepts and sources of business law.
  • Identify and explain the essential elements required for a valid contract.
  • Analyse different types of contracts and their legal implications.
  • Understand the consequences of valid, void, voidable, and illegal contracts.
  • Examine remedies available in case of breach of contract.
  • Apply legal principles to real-life and business-related situations through reflection and case studies.
