Description:
This short-learning programme (SLP) on 'Child Protecting and Safeguarding' is to equip students with the legal knowledge and protocols to create safe environments for children and learn how to identify abuse indicators and implement measures to support children’s academic and future success by:
- providing guidance and information to ensure understanding of legal compliance in the workplace in terms of liability, Child Protection and Safeguarding, and POPIA;
- providing career enrichment for personal empathetic development towards the client (minors) for the benefit of the learners; and
- enable a safe and conducive learning environment that can lead to improved academic results for learners, the school, and the country.
Admission Requirements:
Matric certificate / NQF level 4 qualification.
