About Course

Description:

Almost everyone, regardless of their vocation, has ambitions of writing a book. This short-learning programme (SLP) is offered by the English Department online over six weeks and is facilitated by prominent writers, Prof. Zakes Mda and Ms Sue Nyathi. You will enjoy access to creative writing master teachers.
On completion of the SLP, you will have the ability to demonstrate your writing skills in writing short stories or books. This will enhance your opportunities to publish their work. Students may further engage the facilitators as critical readers of their draft work.

Admission Requirements:

Interested students need to have a NQF level 4 or matric certificate or equivalent.

Preference will be given to applicants with an interest in short fiction.

Interested students should demonstrate an interest in creative writing.
